Teachings of Christian Science

The teachings of Christian Science are based on the BIBLE, with primary emphasis on Jesus' life and healing ministry. SCIENCE AND HEALTH WITH KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES, written by Mary Baker Eddy and first published in 1875, is the denominational textbook containing the complete statement of Christian Science theology and practice.

Outreach Activities

Local churches maintain public Reading Rooms for anyone seeking spiritual solutions to life's many questions. They also sponsor lectures and public talks on Christian Science that are open to the community. Of particular note is The Christian Science Monitor, an international news organization that has earned numerous journalism awards, including seven Pulitzer Prizes. Its mission: "To injure no man, but to bless all mankind."
